About Mantissa

Café Mantissa was born from the dream of Mr. Mauro, the Italian founder of Grupo Agro Fonte Alta. Initially focused on cattle, his passion for coffee led him to establish Mantissa in the beautiful mountains of Campestre, in the Southern region of Minas Gerais, where fertile clay soils and the Atlantic Rainforest provide the perfect conditions for high-quality coffee.

Despite its early challenges, Mantissa’s dedication to excellence and innovation quickly set it apart. The farm was among the first in the region to invest in advanced coffee processing technology, including state-of-the-art peeling and pulping equipment, which revolutionized local production and garnered attention from other producers.

Mantissa’s commitment to quality has earned it multiple accolades, including finalist placements in the prestigious Ernesto Illy Award for Sustainable Quality Coffee, and a win in 2021.

Beyond awards, Mantissa is a family, focused on collaboration and the development of high-quality coffee. With every cup, you experience the hard work, passion, and innovation that define Mantissa.

Coffee is their essence—driving continuous improvement and excellence from farm to cup.
